Verify Carrier & Owner Operator Safety Status

From the Main Menu, select Admin > Preferences > Dispatch. Set the Qualify Carriers setting to either Warning Only, or Prevent. You can apply the same setting to Vendor Driver types by marking the check box right below it.

Choose whether you want dispatch to be warned or prevented from assigning carriers with outdated safety qualifications.

As soon as the Vendor is assigned to a load, you’ll receive a message if they are expired on one or more safety qualifications.

Service is Due for a Tractor or Trailer

You can get a warning and avoid assigning a unit to a load if it’s due for one or more services. From the Main Menu, select Admin > Preferences > Dispatch. Set the Due For Scheduled Maintenance setting.

Set whether you want to be warned or if you want dispatch to be prevented for equipment with services due.

As soon as the unit is assigned to a load, you’ll receive a message if it’s coming due or expired on one or more services.

A tractor is due for a maintenance service, so a notification appears when it is assigned to a load.

Prevent Dispatch for Any Reason

You can find the Prevent Dispatch setting in the profile of all resource types that can be assigned to loads. This feature can be used in several ways. For example, a driver is being called in for a drug test. A user in the safety department can mark this option. When dispatch attempts to assign the driver to a load, they will be unable to proceed.

It can also be used as a stop gap while you are closing out a driver and equipment that is leaving the fleet.
